JuanCarlos Gonzalez is a Puerto Rican photojournalist and visual storyteller based in Plymouth, Vermont. Specializing in portrait, event, and landscape photography, JuanCarlos creates dynamic, emotionally resonant imagery rooted in authenticity, human connection, and place.

Raised in the coastal town of Maunabo, Puerto Rico, he was first inspired by the images in newspapers and magazines, igniting a passion to explore and document the world through photography. Today, he brings that same wonder to every assignment—capturing stories that bridge cultures, celebrate resilience, and honor the quiet power of everyday life.

His work has been featured in Leica Fotografie International (LFI), Vogue Italia, The Boston Globe, National Geographic, Vermont State Parks, and more.

In 2023, JuanCarlos launched Vermont Female Farmers, his signature portrait and documentary series featuring 45 women shaping the future of agriculture in the Green Mountain State. Since its debut, the exhibition and companion book have traveled to prestigious institutions including the Fleming Museum of Art, Billings Farm & Museum, Bennington Museum, Leica Gallery Boston, and the Vermont State House.
